It has been almost one year since the explosion accident at Tianjin Port on August 12, and Hyundai Motor China's official Weibo recently released a statement on the sale of slightly damaged imported Hyundai vehicles in Tianjin Port, mentioning that 1,008 slightly damaged vehicles located in the periphery at the time of the explosion have been repaired to meet the quality standards of Hyundai Motor's new imported vehicles, and will start selling the above vehicles from July 13.
At present, Hyundai has not officially announced a specific model, we consulted Hyundai import car dealers, and the other party revealed that this batch of new cars includes Gree, Genesis models, and possibly Veloster, but the final confirmed model list is still unknown. In addition, the dealer said that the batch of cars will arrive in early August, and not all dealers will have cars.

Statement on the sale of imported Hyundai vehicles with minor damage to the Port of Tianjin
Hyundai Motor (China) has handed over all imported Hyundai vehicles that were damaged by fire at the scene of the explosion to the Tianjin Municipal Government for destruction in accordance with the statement issued after the August 12 Tianjin Port Explosion.
The 1,008 vehicles located on the periphery of the explosion center at the time of the incident had only minor external scratches or partial damage caused by falling foreign objects in the parking area, and the functions and safety of the vehicles were normal, and they met the quality standards of new imported vehicles of Hyundai Motor after restoration.
In order to confirm the actual status of the above-mentioned vehicles, our company commissioned a professional organization to conduct strict testing of the above-mentioned vehicles.
1. On September 10 and 14, 2015, the Tianjin Automobile Testing Center approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China conducted vehicle sampling tests for internal air quality;
2. On September 14 and 20, 2015, the expert team of South Korea Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd., the vehicle manufacturer, carried out all vehicle inspection and testing;
3. On April 11 and 13, 2016, China Certification & Inspection Group Tianjin Co., Ltd., authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, and DEKRA, an internationally renowned professional quality testing and certification organization, conducted vehicle sampling testing for chemical substances in the vehicle;
4. On June 20 and 24, 2016, a team of experts from the quality department of Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd., a vehicle manufacturer, conducted all vehicle inspections.
The results of the above inspection and testing all proved that the 1,008 vehicles did not have any special quality problems caused by the explosion accident.
Therefore, we have decided to start selling the above vehicles from July 13, 2016. The sales principles of this batch of vehicles are hereby publicized as follows:
1. Sales Channels:
The above vehicles will be sold through our network of officially authorized dealers of imported Hyundai brands.
2. Obligation to inform:
Our company will require the dealer to truthfully inform the consumer in writing of the status of the vehicle at the time of sale of the above-mentioned vehicle, and the transaction can only be carried out under the premise that the consumer is informed and agrees to accept it.
3. Obligation to Remedy:
Our company will require dealers to repair the above vehicles to meet the quality standards of new cars free of charge by polishing and removing foreign bodies, replacing air conditioning filters and air filters, painting or replacing parts on paint scratches and discoloration parts, sheet metal and painting of damaged parts of the body.
4. Warranty Obligations:
The above vehicles will enjoy the new vehicle warranty service and three-guarantee service provided by Hyundai Motor (China).
5. Principle of Selling at a Reduced Price:
The above vehicles will be sold at a reduced price at the discretion of the actual damage and repair.
